Our Story..

The Beginning of Bojak Border Collies

My love for the Border Collie began in 1984 when my husband brought home a beautiful black and white puppy named Lady to be a companion for our two young sons, aged 19 months and 6 months. Having previously owned Dobermans and Poodles, I was amazed by Lady’s intelligence, gentleness, and instinctive care for the children.

When we later moved to the Gold Coast, Lady stayed with our neighbours, who had fallen completely in love with her. They couldn’t bear to part with her, so when the time came, I found another Border Collie — Bonnie, from Shonaway Border Collies. From Bonnie, our beautiful black tri, and Jackson, our black and white male, Bojak Border Collies was born.

My dear friend Robyn soon became just as captivated by the breed. She has been a treasured part of Bojak, always lending a helping hand and sharing in the joy these dogs bring.

Over the years, we’ve met countless wonderful people through our dogs from supportive breeders who’ve shared their knowledge to families who’ve welcomed our pups into loving homes. Many have become lifelong friends, and seeing our puppies thrive brings us immense happiness.

We believe the key to a happy, confident Border Collie lies in early socialisation introducing them to people and animals from around eight weeks of age. A well-socialised Border Collie grows into a calm, intelligent, and affectionate companion.
